FEBRUARY COMMITTEE OF THE MONTH: MISSIONS

There are no places in the world where God is not present, only places where God in Christ is not yet known, acknowledged, served, or heeded.  The Mission Committee for FUMC The Colony participated in the annual planning meeting this past month and edited our Mission Statement to the following:

"Carry the Light of Christ OUT into the World."

We are asking anyone in the church who has information on mission that your group is participating in, wanting to participate in, or even thinks someone should be participating in, to forward that information to the committee. Committee

Members are:

Sharon Bossert Melinda Harrison  Cathy Schneider

EASTER MEANS MORE THAN CHOCOLATE BUNNIES & BASKETS…

Have you ever wondered what happened during Jesus’ last week on earth?  And what exactly is “Lent?”  The Synago Sunday School class, for High School and Middle School youth, will be studying these questions and more during our Lent Series.  This study is at 9:45am in the portable building.  Please join us for this unforgettable journey into the story that changed the world.

COLLEGE CARE PACKAGES - HELP

Remember those “lean” college years and the pressure during final exams?  To help alleviate some of the stress associated during this time, our church sends a small thinking of you item to each of our members enrolled in college.  Earlier this school year, we sent care packages filled with goodies.  We will be sending cards this

semester to let them know that their church

family is continuing to think of them.

We are currently looking for members to help with this committee.  If you would like to help serve on this committee, please contact Laura Christiansen at 972-625-1376.
