Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors

This is a ministry that benefits underprivileged elementary school children during the summer. College age students provide daytime programs in churches that typically serve lower income neighborhoods. The children get educational and fun activities while their parents work. For one week, we send volunteers down to read and be read to by elementary school children. It is 2 hours a day for four days, but you can go as your schedule permits. Go for one day, go for two. Anything helps and is appreciated. Our dates this year are June 18–21. Contact London Ryon .

WHAT IS PROJECT TRANSFORMATION?

Project Transformation is a great mission that our church participates in where our volunteers read to kids during summer day camps. Additionally, we also have volunteers who prepare meals for the college interns who are participating in Project Transformation.

Project Transformation is a nonprofit, Christian organization that provides ministry exploration and leadership development opportunities to college-aged young adults, and community oriented programs for children and youth living in low-income neighborhoods of North Texas.
