DIVORCE CARE

Family. Friends. Neighbors. Coworkers. Divorce....

Someone you know is hurting.

It's hard to know how to help someone who is going through a divorce.  It takes a long time and a lot work to heal the pain that comes with the breakup of a marriage.

DivorceCare is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are separated or divorced.  If you know someone going through a divorce, make sure he or she knows about DivorceCare.  It might just be the best thing you could do to help.

Beginning February 22, DivorceCare seminar will be every Thursday, 7-9pm at First United Methodist Church, 4901 Paige Rd, The Colony, TX 75056.  Call 972-625-1281 for more information.

GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP

Anyone experiencing a challenge with grief of any kind, whether loss from death, divorce, personal health, job, money, etc., feel free to join us each Thursday evening at 7:00pm in the choir room.  We are going to study the book Good Grief which you can pick up in the office.  If you do not have time to read the material, please come anyway, as you will learn just from the questions and comments made by others.  The book has ten chapter/stages to healthy grieving.  Anxious to meet each of you, contact Jackie Roman at the church office 972-625-1281.

FOOD PANTRY

We greatly appreciate the current volunteers for their loving dedication and service.  Starting Thursday, January 3rd, the Food Pantry will be needing volunteers.  The Food   Pantry is open every Thursday, from 9:00am-3:00pm.  Volunteers work a three-hour shift (9:00am-noon and noon-3:00pm).  If this is a ministry you feel called to do, please contact Kathy Witcher at 214-618-1865 or kwitcher@grandecom.net.
